Superfeet 2024 Local Grant Application Requirements
Every year, Superfeet gives 1% of sales and over a thousand volunteer hours to organizations working to shape a strong foundation for a healthy future. Our Local Grants Program supports many non-profit organizations right here in the Pacific Northwest, home to Superfeet headquarters for more than 40 years.
Please read through the following information:
For 2024, Superfeet will be awarding the following local grants:
(3) $10,000 grants
(2) $5,000 grants
(4) $2,500 grants
The Superfeet local grant application period opens Tuesday, August 13, 2024, and closes Friday, September 6, 2024.
All grant applicants will be notified of awards by September 29, 2024, with planned payment distributed in the 4th quarter of 2024.
Applications are reviewed and grant recipients are selected by a committee made up of Superfeet employees.
Preference is given to organizations based in Whatcom County, Washington.
Applicants must be a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Recipient organizations should have guidelines and policies in place that encourage diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace, communities and services. Recipient organizations may not exclude access to services for individuals or discriminate on the basis race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, national origin, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
Superfeet awards local grants to organizations that are doing work to help people and the planet. To qualify for a local grant, your project or organization should help provide basic needs like food, housing or health care, promote access to outdoor spaces and/or help protect the planet.
For 2024, we will prioritize funding projects or organizations that meet the criteria above and focus on at least one of the following funding priorities:
- Provides a benefit to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and/or underserved populations in the community
- Fosters inclusiveness and diversity in the outdoors and/or promotes access to outdoor recreation among traditionally underserved or marginalized populations
- Protects and conserves clean air, water and wild landscapes
If your request falls within the scope outlined above, complete the following form and upload any relevant documentation. Please submit all information by Friday, September 6, 2024.
NOTE: There is no way to save work-in-progress on this grant application form. Please be prepared to submit all information in one sitting (It's a good idea to save your answers in a word doc or text file and just copy and paste!). You should receive a confirmation email within an hour of submitting your form. If you do not, please email giving@superfeet.com to check on the status of your application.
Note: Regrettably, requests for help greatly outpace our resources. As a result, we strive to meet the needs of the requests that fall within our giving focus, as outlined above.
We are unlikely to support the following:
- Animal rescues and/or shelters
- General awareness campaigns
- Professional association meetings
- Research studies
- Government agencies or political organizations or causes
